Buy a Tile!

Help Support THE NORTH ARCADE and relive an inspiring moment of Seattle history at the same time...

Back in the 1980's, Pike Place Market offset the cost of upgrading by selling floor tiles to the public. For $35 you could buy a floor tile inscribed with your name. The project was a huge success, helping to preserve the Market as the longest continuously operating open-air market in the country.

Today you can help make Seattle theatre history by supporting the first musical play ever written about Pike Place Market, inspired by the Market, and produced this summer in the Market Theatre during the centennial year of the Market.

For that same $35 you can buy a piece of the stage floor in the Market Theatre. The set of THE NORTH ARCADE will look like the Joe Desimone Bridge with the spectacular view west over Puget Sound. Market signs will grace the stage walls. Actors portraying craftspeople will roll carts onto the stage and set up their wares for the day. The floor will be made to look like tiles, and your name will be hand painted on the tile.

When you come to the play, you'll be able to find your name on the stage floor, and know that your contribution helped make this historical musical possible!
