Rob's adversary is Knot and his gang of hoodlums who are worried that Rob's desire to clean up the street and put together a good doin' gang is gonna make Knot look bad. THE LEGEND OF THE PIED PIPER OF HAMELIN

Musical adaptation of original story, takes place in 1465. The character of the Pied Piper is loosely based on Harold Hill from Music Man and travels from village to village with her lovely assistant Miss Hanna Schmidt selling musical instruments. They arrive in Hamelin and introduce the medieval kids there to the joys of music. They also discover the rat problem (kids play the rats) that has plagued Hamelin for some time now. The kids gladly tell their parents about Piper and set up a deal for Piper to get rid of the rats for which the parents agree to pay 50 pieces of gold. When the parents do not pay, the kids come up with the idea for the Piper to pipe them away and of course the parents pay to get their children back. Very fun lively closing number in 3 parts about keeping ones word and being responsible. Great history lesson for kids about the middle ages and they love the costumes. We can produce this play at your school and will bring costumes, sets and Piper. Successfully produced at Terrace Park School. Good for 4th through 9th. Can accommodate up to 50 kids.
